Advent Mass of Reconciliation - 22/12/2008
The Parish Youth Group performed the "Lifehouse Everything Skit". The drama depicts II Corinthians 5:21, "God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God."

St Mark's Youth Group Activies after Youth Mass - Sunday 16/11/2008

St Mark's Parish - Liturgy Workshop - Tuesday 28/10/2008
Following on from the successful workshops in May 2008 conducted by Elizabeth Harrington, the parish held another series of workshops on every Tuesday evening in October. 52 Parishioners were awarded certificates for completing the October seminars.

St Mark's Youth Mass - Sunday 16/11/2008
The Parish Youth Group celebrated the 2nd Youth Mass on Sunday 16 Nov 2008. The group performed an re-enactment of the Gospel passage, "The Talents", Matthew 25:14-30. Many thanks to the Darra Youth Choir for the beautiful singing.

St Mark's 2008 Melbourne Cup Art Union - 1-2/11/2008
St Mark's Parish Youth Group designed, printed and stapled the tickets. They sold the tickets after Mass. They filed and cross checked ticket books on the computer. They organised the draw, made phone calls, addressed envelopes.

St Mark's Youth Mass - Sunday 21/9/2008
Post-WYD, this is the first Youth Mass in the parish. The theme of the Mass was Generosity. Young people wrote their own reflections on the theme on paper hand cut-outs and stuck them on the wall. A free BBQ was offered to all young people of the parish after Mass. (Photos by Peter Khoa Pham)

WYD08 Pilgrims' Arrival at St Mark's - 8/7/2008
St Mark's had the opportunity to host 40 WYD08 pilgrims from Papua New Guinea. There was a Mass celebrated and a Welcoming Party on the evening that they arrived.

WYD08 Heart of the City Festival - Archdiocese of Brisbane - 12/7/2008
The Archdiocese of Brisbane hosted a Festival in the Roma Street Parklands for WYD08 pilgrims who visited Brisbane a week before they continued their pilgrimage to Sydney.

St Mark's Parish Bids Farewell to WYD08 Pilgrims - 12-13/7/2008
St Mark's pilgrims and the PNG pilgrims made a quick tour around Brisbane City via the train and the CityCat. The Parish celebrated a Pilgrims Sent-Off Mass on Sunday 13/7/08. A Farewell Party after Mass was hosted by the Hospitality Group.

Fr Lam Vu has been ordained to the Priesthood by the Auxiliary Bishop of Brisbane, the Most Rev. Joseph Oudeman OFM Cap. DD on Saturday 12th of April 2008 at St Mark's Church.

On Sunday the 30th of March 2008, WYD pilgrims of the Brisbane West Deanery met at Sherwood Park. Clustered parishes of the Deanery include Corinda-Graceville, Darra-Jindalee, Inala, Indooroopilly / St Lucia, Kenmore, and Toowong.

Despite the cold raining weather on that Saturday evening, the pilgrims diligently served muffins, cup cakes, fried chicken, spring rolls and coffee. Peter Khoa Pham captured a few shots of the sky that evening. Thank you everyone!

The Lunar New Year Celebrations happened at the same time as the season of Lent. The Vietnamese community celebrated Lunar New Year Mass and enjoyed traditional food after Mass.
